Tiny Tots and Toddlers is a facility that cares for children during parent’s absence while at work. Having a drug free workplace is essential for everyone’s safety on the workforce. Prescription drugs are more readily available then ever today. Recently this corporation has considered implementing policies for a drug-free workplace and mandatory drug testing for new hires. Previous research has shown individuals employed in the United States have been impaired with prescription and illegal or illicit drug use (Frone, 2006). They are taken as stimulants by workers who are…

My father had picked me up while carrying me to mother, not angry like I thought they’d be. They held me whilst mother saying, “No one can replace you, Abigail, we love you dearly.” And “Nothing will change, even when the baby will come.” father told me. After that talk, I grew to love the fact that I am going to be a big sister.…
Financial Analysis is very important to the inner workings of a business. Keep track of financial statements, taxes, audits, and various other areas of financials will show how well a company has done, is doing, and how well it will do in the future. Seeing how well a company is doing into the future is important so they can see any mistakes and try to fix them before they become an issue and hinder the growth of the company. In this essay I will compare financial statements in two companies, PepsiCo. and Coca Cola Company. I will describe what vertical and horizontal analysis is then I will go over the vertical analysis of both companies, comparing one to the other. I will go over the horizontal analysis of both companies, comparing them as well. I will describe ratio analysis and I will show the ratio analysis of both companies, including the testing of a liquidity ration, a solvency ratio, and a profitability ratio. I will explain in my own opinion which company is more financial stable and why, using comparisons of the data from the data stated. I will finally include three recommendations to improve each company’s financial health for the future.…
The Female of the Species is written by Joanna Murray-Smith, and directed by Kate Cherry. The plot is inspired by an incident in 200 when feminist author Germaine Greer was held captive in her own home by a mentally unstable student. The play manipulates dramatic elements, particularly tension, symbols, and mood to create dramatic meaning.…

Everybody asks about babies, and there is so many things to list it would not be possible for me to cover all the topics in a conversation. The book ‘Everything You Need To Know About Babies’ is an excellent book regarding to teenagers and young adults that want to be prepared for when they have their own baby, to understand what kind of struggles they will face on a daily basis, and most importantly what is happening inside their body. This book will either excite you towards children or make you re-think if you are ready to have children or not. It will focus on not only how babies are being formatted and developed, but all the stress and costs to go through. By writing and selling this book I am not trying to achieve a noble prize, I just want to make a lot of things clear to the people that are not 100% sure of what the defination of parenting is. In the Oxford Dictionary, the definition of parenting is stated “The rearing of children” “The state of being a parent; parenthood.” Even though the definitions are correct, I would disagree and would like to elaborate of the topic of parenting. It is more work than all you humans who have not attained children yet. Therefore, here I am writing this book on my belief about everything important to parenting.…
My goal was to observe children interacting in a natural environment at the Strong Museum. I observed children’s play and learning in four different areas of child development: social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. In Strong Museum, I observed three different natural environments: Super Kids Market, Field of Play, and Reading Adventureland.…
For my fourth observation of Jaelee, I was looking to see if she can follow through with one clear, simple direction. When I went to her class, she was outside playing. She played out in the playground for a while and then Ms. Reta asked the children to line up to go back inside. Ms. Reta had to ask Jaelee once and she got in line; she followed directions so well that Ms. Reta had her get a toy drum and had her hit the drum while screaming line up to the other children. Jaelee really enjoyed helping her teacher in getting the children lined up.…
From the moment I first opened my eyes as an infant, I had no idea that the family that had been raising me was different from me. I couldn’t see myself, and no one told me that I looked any different from them. I just felt like I belonged. The wolves had brought me into their domain as a newborn, and I knew nothing else from the life that I had been living with them. My skin offered no protection from the cold like their heavy fur coats did, but I looked past it. I wore moose and bear skins in the cold months and ran bare in the warmer months. My hands were weighted down with callouses, and my nails were tough and strong. I learned to be strong as a young girl running among them, and though I was called names and made fun of by my peers,…

Babies grow and develop at a very rapid rate during the first year of life. They grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. However, through this portfolio, I intend to discuss the physical growth and development patterns of the infant through their first year.

To begin with, development refers to the baby's increased skill in using various body parts. When dealing with the development of a child there are three basic developmental rules.

First Developmental Rule:
This rule states that babies develop in the head region first, then the trunk, and lastly in the legs and feet. Therefore, it is said that babies develop in a head-to-toe direction or cephalocaudally. For example, a baby can hold up their head before…
