Every mother has a moment in her life where she reminisces on how she’s grown to be a successful mother. The moment she gives birth, she begins making promises. She promises to herself and her child to be a good mother. Being a successful mother not only has a huge impact in the child’s life, but shapes that person into the wonderful mother or father they will become someday.
A good mother has a never-ending supply of unconditional love. A child could destroy her most prized possession, but she will still have a smile on her face with the satisfaction of her child being safe. Often, when a child gets upset he or she may say and do hurtful things, and yet a mother forgives and forgets. As a child grows and becomes an adult, they will make decisions their mother does not agree with. A good mother will still love her child and be there for them when she’s needed the most. No matter what, a good mother will always have unconditional love for her child.
A child needs support in a various ways. Having their mother there to offer all of the support they need at that point in their life is important to them. A successful mother is there to support her child financially as best as she can. She will make sacrifices to go over and beyond her power to make a stable home for her family. A mother also provides the emotional support that her child needs. She is always there when her child may need a kiss on an injury, or simply an extra hug as they head off to their first day of school. In addition, it is important for a mother to support her child's interest in extracurricular activities; sometimes that may require driving to practices and events or even encouraging her child to practice at home. At this point in a child’s life a mother has to realize it isn’t about her anymore but about what her child needs in their life. Without the support of a good mother a child may squander through life never living up to his or her full potential.
