In the many years of my young life (only 16), I have encountered many situations with exotic animals. The reasons for these encounters were because people own these exotic creatures. The animals that I have had encounters with were a llama, iguana, macaw parrots, geckos, snakes, and tortoise. These encounters with the animals were all great experiences, and because of these experiences I decided also to be an exotic animal owner. This comes to question, should people be allowed to own exotic animals?
Yes, I think that it is so, people should own exotic animals because from having one myself is a great experience, owning an exotic animal is great, you learn new things about your pet that is not the ordinary for example knowing what types of food the animal eats, what it’s habitat are, and the uniqueness of the appearance of the animal. These are the elements that I have had to learn since becoming the owner of an exotic animal; and above all exotic animals are beautiful creatures. Cats and dogs have a higher percentage, because they are considered the “normal” pet to own. These numbers are high, due to the fact of fears and expenses, yet still fear is not the majority of the problem. It is as well the concern of the many accidents that have been attributed to having a exotic pet 75 deaths have been accounted for since 1990-2011 (Live Science). these deaths have occurred because of the animal is hard to become domesticated as well as it diet.(national geographic).
But don't let these facts put you down because they are true and it can happen but, this does not indicate that having an exotic pet is an automatic death, this just means that there needs to be awareness of what type of
