The way that legislation and regulation influence working relationships with carers, families and significant others is that our working practices are shaped by legislation and regulation. Some examples of these are Health and Safety regulations, The Human Rights Act, Code of Practice, Disability Discrimination Act, Data Protection Act, Care Standards Act and the Mental Health Act along with our own internal policies such as code of conduct, safeguarding policies and supervision policies all shape how employees work with, and in partnership with others.
