It hasn’t occurred to them how soon they will be out of the prison called high school…until now. Most, if not all, seniors catch a case of senioritis early on in their senior year. Once they have caught senioritis, there is little hope that they will recover, at least not until they receive their high school diploma. Upon catching senioritis, students no longer find joy in the day to day attending of classes. The seniors begin to realize that half of the classes that they are taking won’t matter in the long run of their career ambitions. The awe and terror of what high school was before they started now starts to crumble at the foundation. There are a few exceptions to the contraction of this horrid disease, however. Seniors who get involved come to appreciate the fact that they will no longer be able to attend high school anymore, so they want to make their last year the very best.…

I found myself in trouble at school at times by my lack of cultural awareness. From being labeled as a bully for fighting back against others who attacked me to not quite understanding why I could not be angry at those who would attack me for no reason, I was often confused at the time by not knowing the wrong of my actions that seemed to be morally just to me. Facing adversity in the classroom in the form of peers who feared my culturally different background, I learned that I must educate other rather than succumb to a cycle of hate. From the initially negative experiences, I have learned to respectfully inquire about a person's individuality that I am not familiar with and ultimately teach others about my identity as…

I understand that people have different characters and therefore I do not expect all people to behave the same way. I have learnt to show compassion to everyone by helping them acquire the necessary moral…

The reason why I'm in college is because I want a better future for myself and to show my family that I can become somebody one day. Sometimes I would say to myself like “why am I even here? This place is not the place for me “. In other words college is not for everybody because not everyone who lives with their parents who can afford for tuition for college. But for me I realize that staying alone and not doing nothing for me was the biggest mistake I ever made as young adult at the age of nineteen. I've been to places like the Bahamas, Las Vegas, Florida, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Canada. My first trip was to Puerto Rico when I was one. So I have gotten to know many cultures and love the diversity. Traveling as often as twice a year sometimes to places long distance or even close by home.
