Explain How To Keep Your Dog Away From Your Natural Christmas Tree
As the holiday seasons approach, if you have a dog, you need to take steps to ensure that your dog stays safe this holiday season. Here are a few easy ways you can make sure that your dog is safe around all the holiday decorations this year.

Keep Your Dog Away From Your Natural Christmas Tree

If you have a natural Christmas tree up in your house, you need to keep your dog away from it.

The water at the base of the tree can cause your dog stomach aches if they sip out of it due to the chemicals that the tree releases into the water. If you added plant food to the water under your Christmas tree, you really want to keep your dog away from the water under your tree. The plant food may contain ingredients that are fatal to your dog.

An easy way to keep your dog away from the water under your tree is to set up a small fence around your tree, or stack up those presents so they can’t get under it. Also, make sure you keep plenty of clean water nearby for your dog so they don’t have to seek out alternative sources.

Keep Ornaments On High Branches

Don’t place ornaments on the branches right next to the ground. Your dog could easily knock off a glass ornament and cut themselves up. They could also knock off and eat an ornament, which could result in a very expensive trip to the vet for you.

Place all of your ornaments high enough up on your tree so that your dog cannot get to them on accident or on purpose.
