Explain Why Some Christians Believe In Monotheism
Christians believe in monotheism considering Yahweh as god and Jesus as the messiah of God. The main places of worship for Christians are Churches, Cathedrals and Chapels. Christian worships includes prayers, sermons, readings from the Bible, songs and many other sacraments.
Lent, Good Friday, Easter and Christmas are the major festivals celebrated by Christians. Lent is a 40-day period of fasting and repentance in preparation for Easter. Good Friday marks the crucification of Jesus Christ. Easter is a festival that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Christmas which is celebrated on 25th of December marks the birth of Jesus Christ 5. Celebrating Christmas in America is a huge deal. People start decorating their houses and gardens with lights, wreaths, socks, snowman, Christmas tree and many more decorations weeks before Christmas eve. Sinners who refuse to change their ways are sent to a place called ‘Hell’ where they are punished for their misconduct. Also there is a transitional state called as ‘Purgatory’ where one undergoes purification so that one can go to heaven.
