For example, “There's something called the First Amendment” (Konrad 1). The First Amendment gives people the right to do anything with their creative minds, including an author's mind. This is important because some authors don’t write books for children to read, so it is obviously going to have some unfitting content for older readers. Secondly, “These books are all icons of literature, and their value far outshines their offensive content” (Tomiak 7). This is significant because people are banning icons of literature that has inappropriate content when children are going to be exposed to it later in life. The books true value is not the inappropriate content, it is the lesson in the story the author has to the readers. In conclusion, authors should have a right to write their own creative literature, even if it involves some inappropriate
