I have had research papers in the past about gun laws. I have had research papers about gay rights. I have had research papers immigration in the United States of America. Research is important because it makes your writing more accurate. A source is reliable if it is usually a .org, .gov, or anything basically except most .com and .net. Wikipedia is usually not
accurate even though it is a .org because anyone can edit the page. Effective writers can use a research database for reliable sources. The difficulties about the writing progress is that the it is difficult to tell whether some writing on the paper is fact or opinion. Also, the writers have to cite the writer otherwise, it is plagerism. You also can't be biased in your writing. Some strategies that have helped were not to state the pro's and con's so I am not biased about a topic. Also, if I see a website with a bunch of ad's on the side and the website article the author states her opinion a lot. I don't use that website. I get the a good end product by having someone reads it over and make's peer revisions on my writing assignments.
