Making the decision to eat out at a restaurant instead of having to cook a meal at home is an easy task. To many, the difficulty arises when figuring out which restaurant to eat at. There are a ton of restaurants to choose from. Multiple factors come into play when narrowing it down to just one restaurant. Today, I thought it would be a great idea to eat at Chipotle. The choice of food, customer service, and amount of locations justify why many would choose Chipotle as their go-to fast-food establishment.…
Once I entered the restaurant, I was met by the aroma of grilling hamburgers and other foods, which is not usually the norm in other fast food restaurants, where food is mostly micro waved. The interior of the restaurant is well designed, spacious to allow many people to be served at the counter without much congestion. Their prices are well marked on the menu, which is well labeled with pictures that are just as alluring as the aroma. Just as their phrase suggests, "Have it your way," one can ask their hamburger to be made the way they want. This makes it ideal for everybody rather than having to standardize everything to suit all, which is not possible. For instance, when ordering a whopper, you can choose what to be included in it to suit your preference. This makes it a strong point for people who want a hamburger served with what they want. On the other hand, it serves as a weakness since having to order it the way you want takes a little more time and this requires patience. The tables are well set with enough space between them and decoration is just good for a fast food…

Obesity is an epidemic that is sweeping over the United States today. It’s affecting both adults and children. With the increase in fast food availability and a decrease in the time most Americans have to prepare nutritious meals at home, it’s obvious why more people are eating at fast food restaurants. Obesity is a growing problem in the United States and more and more children are being affected. But do uneducated families have the right to put the blame on fast food restaurants for the health issues they could easily prevent? I believe that we are taking it too far by blaming fast food restaurants for obesity and that it is an individual’s responsibility to take the blame. While R.A. Ames "The Food Isn’t to Blame" and Richard Daynard “You Want Fries with That?” use different themes of blaming fast companies and individual decisions to underscore the effects of fast of food on America, the Rahul K. Parikh in “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Fats Kid” picks up the same theme, he blames advertisements for America’s Obesity.…
Fast Food , 2009 Seth Stern is a staff writer at The Christian Science Monitor. Despite the fact that nutritional information about fast food is readily available, many fast food chains are taking the blame for the rise in obesity and other health problems across the nation. Some lawyers are considering the possibility that fast food chains could be held accountable for the health consequences of eating their food. The chains could also be responsible for the effects of their potentially misleading advertising, especially to children. These advertising messages can lead people to overeat, which is one of the reasons behind the obesity problem.…

Behind of its popularity, there are also few negative effects by eating fast foods. Students do have choices on what they order and how much they order at fast food restaurants. Fast food is loaded with calories from refines sugar and fat. It is also very high in sodium, coming from common salt and other additives. One of negative effect comes from fast food is nutritional imbalance. This is cause by eating fast food that contains high sugar or fat. High-sugar fast food included regular carbonated beverages. Fried fries and milk shake are examples of foods with ingredients high in both fat and sugar. According to Webster’s Digital Service (2011), obesity is defined by a body mass index of 30 or higher, places weight strain on respiratory system. Gaining weight is the first and worst health hazard from routinely eating fast food. Energy density refers to the amount of calories an item of food contains in relation to its weight. Fast food has a very high energy density. It is about twice as high as recommended healthy diets. Freiboth (n.d.) says that people get fat eating regular portion sizes, but since the food has a high energy density, people gain weight. In addition, obese persons are more likely to develop asthma and sleep apnoea. Both are two types of breathing disorder. Eating high-calorie fast food actually decreases college students exercise tolerance. When physical activity level drops, they will have more difficulty losing weight, which may have chronic respiratory health effects.…
Obesity, obesity is a disease caused by a bad diets, genetics, and lack of exercise. It can be avoided by a balanced diet and 30-45 minutes of exercise everyday. Its very different for everybody, some people may have to do more exercise or less exercise, or eat different things due to their genetics. With all that said I feel it’s an individual responsibility to take care of yourself to avoid obesity and I don’t believe it’s the fast foods restaurants fault for obesity. Even top known fast food restaurants like McDonald’s sell salads and include nutrition facts if someone would like to avoid any extra calories or sodium. There is always ways to avoid being obese , its an individual choice whether you go in McDonald’s and get a Spicy McChicken or A McChicken Salad.…

One of my favorite restaurants to eat at is Osaka, a well-known authentic Japanese restaurant in Plano Texas that offers a variety of sushi, sashimi, and fresh seafood. The experience at Osaka is very exciting because of the exotic culture and Japanese folk songs. The price at Osaka is fair and the food is delicious. Every time you go the owner always serves you with a cup of fresh Japanese green tea and a friendly smile. In my opinion, a good restaurant should have comfortable atmosphere, outstanding cleanliness, welcoming staff with friendly knowledgeable service, tasty food, reasonable price, and a great location. A restaurant should have all these elements to make it a desirable place to eat.…
When walking into a fast food joint or a “fancy” restaurant people expect to order their food, wait for it to be prepared, then eat and leave. Unless they have had experience working in a kitchen; most people do not know what goes on behind the scenes. When it comes to fast food there is not much prep work that has to be done. Most of a fast food restaurants product is delivered frozen and just needs to be cooked and thrown together. Where as a more of an upper class restaurant where they get most of their product delivered fresh. Also depending on what type of restaurant it is (Italian, Greek, Chinese, etc.) they usually season their product to their own recipes.…
