Breaking down my leadership qualities and traits and what kind I am the first thing that always comes to mind, is that I am one who still has a lot to learn and many skills to develop. Yes, I know that all of that will come with time but it remains a lingering thought letting me know that there is always room for constant improvement. That being said I would like to consider myself as a transactional leader. I greatly enjoy getting involved and checking in to ensure things are getting done right when the occasion calls for it. It’s awesome to see that you continued down the path to help and teach others right from wrong. I love seeing when people learn from their past and they hand teachings down to other people? The types of things that would be more supportive of my ongoing growth and development as a leader and person would be positive interactions with the people around me. When I work with people that I truly enjoy the company of, it doesn’t matter how grueling or uninteresting the work we are doing is. On the flip side, if I am around people that I don’t enjoy being around for whatever reason, I would hate the work I’m doing- even if it’s very easy. Being around a great supporting cast can really make a difference, especially when you have to spend 8+ hours a day with them- even if the work itself isn’t something you really enjoy. I would say this is because it really stimulates and motivates you.…

    My Philosophy of Ministry

The second part of my philosophy of ministry is to train leaders. A leader in the church is a godly servant who is influencing others in the church. Building leadership development in the local church is vital to the continual growth of the ministry (Acts 6: 3-4; 2 Tim. 2:2). I want to always be in the process of training individuals and preparing them to step into a leadership position. The leadership training process needs to include not only theological study and “hands-on” involvement, but community and relationship development as well.…

I have learned a lot about the teaching profession this semester. My dream has always been to become an Elementary teacher. I had the opportunity to observe many classrooms, especially at the Elementary grade levels. Through field experience, I was able to imagine my own classroom and teaching methods. I observed both student-based classrooms and teacher-based classrooms. I even had the opportunity to learn about teaching special education classes, which I never considered teaching until now. This field experience has made me question the level that I want to teach, the methods of instruction I should choose, and the content area on which I should focus.…
