Film Development
Industries are affected by many factors that play a role in its growth and development. The film industry started as a small entertainment business in 1880s when the first movie camera was invented but developed to a big industry that is worldwide. The reason for its widespread is attributed to its cheap cost as a source of entertainment. To protect the industry, governments of different countries have enacted laws that guide it actions commonly known as copyright registration laws and enforcements. Copyright registration laws are rights granted to the originator of a piece of work by the government. Copyrights run for a specific time. Individual copyrights run for an average of seventy years while corporate copyrights run for a period of one hundred and twenty years. This essay describes film development copyright legislation aspects and effects of enforcement of copyright laws on film development.
The invention of the first movie camera by Louis Le Prince in 1888 saw the first development in the film industry. The pioneer film companies included American Mutoscope, American Vitagraph and the Lumiere Company of France. Britain, France and United States were the first countries in the film industry but other countries gradually joined the business including Italy, Sweden and Denmark. Over the years, filming has become a lucrative industry and has spread to many countries. Many companies have taken up filing with some of the most famous companies being Hollywood, 20th Century, Europa and Lionsgate.
The aspects of film have also evolved over the times. The aspects of film that have developed substantially include animations, time frame, photography quality and sounds. Films started with single frame animations and developed to add clay animations. Other transformations included the drawn animations in France and USA and the inclusion of animated cartoons.
