Film Analysis: Pulp Fiction
Most people have incredible movie classics as there favourite movies of all time. For example, Pulp Fiction, Alien(s), and so on. However, one of my all time favourite movies is the 1987's PREDATOR. Some people view this as a (classic) incredible action/SF movie. While others view this as a violent and unnecessary movie.
In my opinion, this movie is sometimes extremely underrated. Not a lot of people know this film, like they know about Alien.. and so on. Comparatively, this film has a compete with other incredible SF classics, for an example, a well known movie, ALIEN and ALIENS. PREDATORS has great action, a very good performance from Arnold Schwarzenegger, cool special effects and some incredible tension throughout the run time of this film.
The story of this film is very simple. A group of highly trained soldiers are sent to the central American jungle and hey get hunted by an extraordinary being. It may be one of the typical survival action flick plots. With a simple concept, they made it very more interesting and a refreshing antagionist to the story.
While watching this film, I could realise some visuals, including special effects

A very good story telling not only from the dialogue but from the visuals and scenes, that does not need a huge lot of information or exposition scenes. A very good location and phtography that appreciates this film. Also, very good use of zoom(s) in and outs. As well as, a great score from Alan Silvestri, and if not one of my favourite scores in cinematic history. Like I said, the director really understands how to build up great tension that keeps you at the edge of your seat. There is not a single moment of scenary in which I was bored or checking the time when the scene is going to end. It definetelt has great filmed action (mostly gun shootouts) as for a movie like this. To evaluate, incredible and very careful direction put for the production for this

Towards the end of the movie, Oscar and his friends ends their night of celebrating their New Year in a confrontation with police officers at the Fruitvale BART station. Unfortunately, that was Grant’s last encounter. In my opinion, the movie Fruitvale Station is an accurate representation of what occurred Oscar Grant on…

The film opens with a close up shot of Alex dressed in white with gray suspenders showcasing his false eyelashes on his right eye and with the brim of his pork pie hat tilted slightly downward. His ominous blue eyes peering right through you as if you did not even exist. Slowly the camera pulls back as Alex takes a sip of drug laced milk revealing the type of company he keeps. His “droogs” as Alex called them were seated next to him on a bench in the Korova Milk Bar. The Korova Milk Bar was decorated with nude figures of women posed as if they had fallen backwards and they attempted to catch themselves by putting their arms behind them. The flats of their stomachs doubled as a table where glasses of milk could be placed. Other nude statues…

In Ridley Scott’s film “Alien” the world is introduced to new slimy villain in this 1979 horror sci-fi film. That villain is no other than an alien predator whose instincts is to kill anything moving. The alien is stuck in a commercial spacecraft that has six human crew members and an android. After reading articles about science fiction films I really understood how unique and ahead of its time this film was. it doesn’t go the same route that other sci-fi films go through during the 1970s like the Star Wars (1977), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), and Close encounter of the Third Kind (1977).…

The first scene of the film opens up inside the mind of protagonist, Jack/the Narrator. The camera slowly moves along pathways of Jack’s mind and then emerges out of his head. There, we see Jack seated with a gun in his mouth. On the other side, holding the gun is Tyler Durden. The two of them are placed on what looks like the upper floor of an office building. You hear Jack in voice-over claim that his current situation had something to do with Marla Singer. The next scene takes place in a support group containing men who are recovering from testicular cancer. Jack apparently has been attending various support groups. However, Jack is completely disease-free. Jack attends these meetings to allow him to cry and accept the pain and misery of…

Apocalypse Now could have been a classic but it is spoiled by a confused ending. Coppola brought in Marlon Brando to play Kurtz in the hope that he would repeat the success of his performance in The Godfather. Brando came in unprepared and improvised his role. The result was aimless mumbling and raving. Without Brando the movie would have been better and Coppola would have saved himself a lot of money and anguish.…

Fight Club “Its only after we’ve lost everything are we free to do anything”, Tyler Durden as (Brad Pitt) states, among many other lines of contemplation. In Fight Club, a nameless narrator, a typical “everyman,” played as (Edward Norton) is trapped in the world of large corporations, condominium living, and all the money he needs to spend on all the useless stuff he doesn’t need. As Tyler Durden says “The things you own end up owning you.” Fight Club is an edgy film that takes on such topics as consumerism, the feminization of society, manipulation, cultism, Marxist ideology, social norms, dominant culture, and the psychiatric approach of the human id, ego, and super ego. “It is a film that surrealistically describes the status of the American…

Hollywood is very influential. North American audiences in particular have developed conventions on the base of a commonality in Hollywood films. Aliens in particular, have a huge fan base, because it is impossible to comprehend the universe and thus we cannot know if we are the only life form. the movie Alien (1979) has challenged those conventions though gender role reversal, a strong female surviving heroine and unexpected sexuality. the unconventional nature of this film is what makes audiences swoon over what would otherwise be a traditional Sci-Fi movie.…
