I would concentrate on the development of a child(ren) thinking. Rather than examining the right answers teachers should draw attention to the student’s knowledge and procedure they used to their answer. Next, the appreciation for the important position for children’s established active participation in the learning activities. In a classroom children should be motivated to find out for themselves through natural contact with the world instead of make-believe knowledge. A focus on social conduct can make a child adult like in their own way of thinking. This is what Piaget was talking about when he was referring to the” American question and “How can we speed up development”. I believe that…

Based on actual diary accounts of several teenagers following the L.A. riots, “Freedom Writers” is the story of an idealistic teacher’s attempts to make a difference in the lives of her at-risk students. Located in gang-ravaged Long Beach, California, Woodrow Wilson High is a hotbed of violence due to a voluntary integration program which brings Black, Latino, Asian, and White students together. Rather than having the desired effect of creating healthy diversity, this program breeds constant war between all parties involved, the result being daily gun shots, constant racial slurs, and gang violence. Despite being up against unthinkable violence, devoted first-time teacher Erin Gruwell never gives up and slowly bonds with her class of at-first unreachable pupils. In addition, she breaks down their tough exteriors and searches for the real people beneath by requiring the students keep daily journals. After sharing their stories with one another, the students see their common experiences for the first time and open up to the idea that there are possibilities in life outside of making it to the age of eighteen.…

Erin wanted to change this condition and wanted everyone to change. In fact, she did it. Now here is question. Why Erin could do something that others did not finish? I think her sense of responsibility made her and her class successful.…

During their junior year, in 1997, the Freedom Writers all went to Washington, D.C., where they presented their diary to the United States Secretary of Education Richard Riley. During this trip they also honored the Freedom Riders by holding a peace march and prayer vigil at the Washington Monument for victims of intolerance. The Freedom Writers Diary has photos of this, and I can only imagine what a touching site this must have been.…
