Topics and Objectives
Communicating Your Ideas
· Explain techniques to present ideas and persuade others effectively.
· Recognize approaches to achieve effective writing and speaking.
1. Readings & Tutorial
· Read Ch. 14 of The Art of Thinking
2. Week Nine DQs: Post a 150- to 300-word response to 2 of the 5 Week Nine DQs in the Main forum.
3. Assignment 1: Personal Reflection Paper (please see the outline of the final paper below assignment instructions)
By utilizing, preferably the UOPH Library search engine or your favorite such as Google etc. You will choose one of the topics listed below where I have added the layout of assignment #1, and answer each question with 100 – 150 words.
Assignment 2: Persuading your Audience
For Assignment 2: Complete the following with 50 – 100 words each question:
· Why do you think it is important to know the reasons that people reject ideas?
· Why do you think timing is important when you are building a persuasive case?
· Why do you think it is important to anticipate objections or reactions when presenting your ideas? How might this help you be more persuasive?
