Weohyakapka (Walk In The Water)
Lake Weohyakapka is also known as Walk In The Water. The lake is over 7000 acres and is known in national fishing circles for its large trophy mouth bass. It's not unusual for the bass to weigh two to four pounds each, but some as large as 10 pounds can easily be caught. Oftentimes, anglers can catch 15-20 bass each day, though it's best to catch and release since the daily limit is set to three fish per day. …show more content…
During those months, the weather is cool enough and the bass typically stay in shallower water, making them easier to catch. It is possible to catch them during the hot, humid summer months, but you'll need your bait to go deeper into the lake. Expect to see other wildlife, including eagles, ospreys, alligators and maybe even deer or wild turkeys. If you'd like to make your entire outdoor experience even better, look to some of the many Florida campgrounds nearby.
