There is many different kinds of gamefish that are frequently targeted. These game fish include, Largemouth bass, walleye, trout, and many more. Overall the sport of fishing is a very fun past time.

This fish tends to be found in the northern, colder climates. They can grow much larger than the largemouth bass. The walleye is a much more picky eater than the bass. The walleye will only eat at a certain depth depending on the water clarity, and temperature. It is very popular to catch these fish while ice fishing. In the winter time the walleye becomes less picky and will key in on much more fish, making them easier to catch. When ice fishing you must have a safe thickness of the ice. Then you must drill a hole through it with a device called an ice auger. Then you use tiny rods that average at around 28 inches to pull these walleye out of the water. If you are looking for a little more of a challenge, the walleye may be just the fish for you.

The third game fish is the trout. The trout tends to be found in moving water. You can find them in creeks and rivers. A very popular way to catch them is using a fly rod. The fly rod is used by pulling line out of the spool and feathering a tiny bit out as you swing the rod back and forth until you have it at the distance you want it. If you are more of a nature centered type of person, I suggest trout fishing.

Personally, my favorite type of game fish is the largemouth bass. I like to target this fish because of the new technology, and how fun and simple it is to catch them. But overall, fishing is a very fun

When fishing for largemouth bass it is important that you study the water. it doesn't even hurt to ask others if u know any that have fished there. I have fished many of ponds before where I have heard a lot of great things about a pond and didn't catch a thing.
