There needs to be an increase of laws that protect all of us from these corporations who are just trying to make a buck. The food that is being put into our bodies now can affect everyone’s health in the long run. Consumers don’t realize all these chemicals and abuse to animals, workers behind the industrial food system. Consumers need to begin to shop carefully for their everyday needs to protect their health from diabetes and E. coli. These corporations are so powerful they can sue a consumer for talking bad about their products; for example, when Oprah talks about the beef industry. Consumers always have the power though. In the documentary, the supermarkets keep track of what consumers buy. Walmart would try and buy organic foods for their customers since that is what the people wanted. Consumers have a choice in the products they buy. If consumers begin to buy more organic, locally grown products there might be a shift of different products seen in our local supermarkets. Also, many people need to stop eating fast food just because its quick and cheap. These fast foods are the ones with the highest calories are the most artificial and dangerous for
