Footloose: Movie Analysis
There are many controversies on which Footloose was better. In all reality, both movies have their strong and weak points. Many of the older generations that have seen both movies prefer the older when because they can relate to it. However, the younger generations can relate to the newer Footloose. There are many differences in both movies like the story line, how it views Ren, and the camera angles they use. The story line within the older Footloose doesn't give the viewers the how it all started in that small town. The 1984 version doesn't give more information, just the cast states what happened with the brother and Rens’ father. Within the newer version, Ariel tells Ren what happen and then then it shows the party before the crash …show more content…
Ren in the older movie has an edge to him but it doesn't give us more detail on why. In the newer movie, we see a scene where the viewer is told that Ren used to fix cars to make money. Ren, in both movies, is involved in gymnastics and is a good dancer. The Ren in the newer movie gives us more insight into how he feels about the law. Being accused of being the “Bad influence” in a small town starts earlier in the newer movie than in the older version. By the end of both movies the town lifts the law and has a better view about him. Many of the camera angles in both movies are the same. When Ariel looks at her father, the camera looks up toward the father stating to the viewer that he's above her. There are many scenes where the camera pans the landscape and then focuses in on the important things within that area. In both movies, when Ren and Chuck Duel the camera seems to be on a helicopter in order to get both trackers or buses in the shot. In conclusion, the two movies are different and similar in many ways. In all reality, both movies have their strong and weak points. While the newer movie is strong in supporting detail, the newer movie is strong in giving the fewer the feel of the movie. The older generation may like the older version and the younger generation can like the newer version better. Both are impressive movie and has some life lessons within each

The differences are more than just how they “save the day,” but in every aspect of the hero. Because the times the movies were made there is a difference in both of them. The original Footloose is obviously older and the time from 1984 is a big time change all the way to 2011. Footloose Produced by Herbert Ross has a nice slow pace from scene to scene. The remake of Footloose in 2011 is upbeat and a faster pace due to viewers they want to keep us interested also the time periods are a big difference. Things that happened in the eighties are a big difference compared to times now. A lot of things remain in the remake such as the old yellow junky car that Ren fixes up. The dancing scenes and who can forget Ren teaching Willard how to dance. Some scenes did not go with the movie from Brewers version. Racing the car at the track that was just thrown in there for something extra.…

    Analysis Of Ender's Game

The main differences that I saw between the two were character development, details, and an overall better timing of event. Although the movie wasn’t horrible it did not develop its characters like the book was able to. Character development is a key aspect of a story that allows the reader/watcher to connect with the characters, understand why they make certain decisions, and to form emotional ties with the story. Throughout the book Orson Scott Card adds immense details on Enders life that allow us to connect with him. Some of the details that the book showed that the movie did not were Enders hatred of Peter, intelligence, and the effect being a third had on Ender. All of these combined allowed us readers to connect and understand Ender which eaily increased the enjoyment from reading the book. All of the characters were developed in the book in such a way that brought them all closer together and explained some of the weird situations in the book and movie. There were many details that did not make it from the book to the movie which caused the movie to be boring and have less meaning behind certain important scenes. A prime example of this is Enders important strategy of not just defeating the enemy, but destroying it. The book showed three great examples of this that add together and allow us to better understand why Ender acted so…

One way is that in each of the movies, Annie and Grace end up having a good relationship with each other and are the first to become friends in a way in each of the movies. They also share a lot of time making Warbucks or Stacks into the person in the end of the movie. Another thing that both movies had was the iconic song “Tomorrow”. Even though it is an obvious to have in an Annie movie, they were still done in different ways and all of them were done pretty good. One more thing that all 3 of the movies had was the orphans helping in a way to tell Warbucks or Stacks that the people that are taking her aren’t her real parents. In the original one, they ran from the orphanage to tell him. In the 1999 movie version, they get Lilly to take them and stop the Hannigans. And in the 2014 movie, Ms. Hannigan needs their help to make up for what she did and they use twitter to find Annie. Now even though all of the titles of the movies are the same, they all have their differences. One example of this is how Sandy ends up living with Stacks or Warbucks. In the original one, Annie already had Sandy at the orphanage and brought her along to the mansion from the beginning. In the 1999 version, Annie finds Sandy while out with Warbucks and Grace on the streets. In the 2014 version, Stacks takes Annie to a dog pound and Annie gets Sandy that way. Another difference is how Warbucks or Stacks meets Annie. In the original, Warbucks meets Annie by smelling wet dog and Annie coming out of hiding with the dog, In the 1999 version, Annie runs into Warbucks at the end of the “I Think I’m Going to Like it Here” song. In the 2014 version, Annie runs into Mr. Stacks when he saves her by taking her out of traffic and not letting her get run over. One more difference is the relationship between Hannigan and Mr. Bundles or Lou. In the 1982 version, Hannigan is trying to get Bundles and is all…

Hollywood assumes that its audience like violence and typical happy endings. If we compare the weapons or objects used in both films, it is really easy to notice that the remake uses more “daily objects” as weapons in the fights. The happy ending is also part of the remake that does not appears in the original film. Dialogue as swearing, is also more predominant in the remake.…

Another reason why I felt like the older version was better was because the newer version skipped a lot of important events that took place in the novel. For example they skipped the part at the end when the two families make peace and the part where Romeo killed Paris. Though this made the movie go faster, which was good but I felt like they should have put more of the important events in the movie.…
