A Rise to Fame.
She rose to the top of the billboards in a matter of minutes. Her passion for her art sold billions of her treasured albums. She also has to time to be a humble super star and well known philanthropist in the LGBT community. This ambitious mega star is the one and only Lady Gaga. She is known for out lavish, and at times ridiculous, costumes and even more known for her power house pop hits. Since her debut in 2008, Lady Gaga is one of the most influential pop culture icon of our generation. Not only is she noted to be one of the best-selling music artists, Gaga is also a very outspoken activist whom defines the meaning of using fame in means of shedding light on social problems. Lady Gaga is a triple threat and is paving roads for past and future pop icons.
Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has been in music ever since childhood. She did theatre, band, and various performing arts. Going to New York University, Gaga found a passion in performing and followed a dream of songwriting and singing. After dropping out to pursue a career in music, she was hired as a song writer and then discovered by Akon, a R&B/Hip Hop recording artist. Lady Gaga found stardom in 2008 when “Just Dance” was released and everyone welcomed her to, her soon to be cozy home, the top 100 billboard. Topping the charts in not only the United States, Gaga was selling more than 5 million copies of her first single, and her second, “Poker Face”, sold another 9 million. She was an instant star winning numerous Grammys. The instant fame brought “Mother Monster” to an ultimate high, with even room to grow. She was playing on every station from top hits to dance to pop favorite themed radio stations. She became a house hold name. How did she handle this new come fame?
