I just want to say that this is a book, and movie that I would most likely recommend this to anybody, because no matter who it it is, anybody would be interested in this book, and movie. If I had to rate this book 1-10, I would give it a 100, because this book, and movie taught me a good lesson, and that is that I need to understand what my family went through and what they are going through, and if you read it, you will learn the same…
Critique I liked this book because it was interesting and you don’t know what will happen next. This book leaves you hanging. I like books with drama and this book has a lot of it. I also like how it was in third person point of view, so it switched between different people.…
It had humor, real life events, sadness, and suspense. I would most definitely recommend this novel to someone because although it’s very long, you won’t want to stop reading it. This book will make you wonder, cry, even laugh. It’s a book that I think had great meaning and was put together very well. In my opinion, there is no flaws about this book except how long it is.…
The story is definitely one you should read, it’s a very enticing book and does what few authors can do, it combines fiction and truth together without making it boring or annoying. The Scarlet Pimpernel is one of my favorite books and it gets a very high rating in my opinion, it’s a classic and will never be replaced by any…
In my opinion, the novel was extremely entertaining and well put together, containing some hilarious moments, a few depressing moments, and several surprises. It taught me several new things about the strict, harsh, and cruel ways of the Puritan Society that I did not previously know. For example, I learned that it brought joy to the community to witness the public shaming and public executions by the guillotine, hanging, fire, and even being crushed to death. I would definitely recommend the novel to other readers because it contains an interesting storyline and plot, and the novel is slightly challenging, so it is also beneficial for the mind. I could relate several events and themes throughout the novel to events in society today. For instance, today young men and women make mistakes as they are younger, just as it’s been for centuries. These mistakes follow these young people throughout the course of their lives, causing individuals to judge them before getting to know them first. Another similarity between the novel and today’s society would be public shaming. For example, the younger generation specifically enjoys humiliating others for making mistakes by posting to social media, where the individual’s mistakes could be ridiculed…
A choice made by Paul was when he told the police about when Arthur hit Louis with a black jack and killed him. It affected Paul that he felt more confident. The choice was made because Paul wanted Arthur to go to jail for killing his friend. Paul’s reaction felt weird because he never told the police about a murder before. Paul's effect was that he felt good about himself that he helped solve a murder case.…

Another problem is that this book had poor character development. Mary is referred as a criminal and leaving her town after killing her husband .Crabbe’s mom is clueless on what is going on with his son’s life, his dad is rude and ungrateful. His family does not show much support to his son. He’s addicted to alcohol and telling young grade 9’s to drink and always constantly drinking and in need of it 24/7 is horrible. Crabbe has also left home and running away is showing bad decisions to the youth. It’s giving those ideas on what to do if they hate there family or get depressed. This book is just setting bad examples towards the youth.…
There is no one type of government that is way better than the others. In a unitary government the entire country is controlled as one and the government has all the power. In a confederate government the individual states have a lot of independence and there is a weaker and limited central government. A federal government is between unitary and confederate where the individual states still have power but the central government also has power.…

My only problem was with the pacing of the novel. I waited through the entire thing for something to happen. The first 500 pages or so is a nearly day-to-day account of Bella's teenage life, and that got a bit repetitive and boring to me. The last 50 pages, though, were intense and suspenseful.…
