In review of the Fountain Creek Watershed, the awareness of temperature struck an important note in thought. The "temperature exerts a major influence on biological activity and growth" (USGS, 2015) and that is undoubtedly going to affect several aspects of life. In the focus of understanding what the temperature is, we could begin to develop a picture of the potential effects that could emerge upon the life affected.
METHOD
In consideration of chemical reactions increasing from higher temperatures, the affected life associated with the water of Fountain Creek is under concern. The aquatic life might not survive well under the toxic conditions related to the temperature changes of water. Although, no specific experiment conducted
herein this report of understanding one of the contributing factors reviewed; we should remain concerned as to how any environmental relationship would also affect another in experimentation.
RESULTS
When water becomes toxic to life whether aquatic, human, or otherwise, it has the potential of causing one problem on top of another problem and so on. This would not benefit human consumption while it might increase business in health practices and hospitals. Knowing what the temperature is affecting in life as it fluctuates and changes over time is crucial to knowing the outcome upon those within the watershed area.
The following pie chart has temperature, percentage of pie, and date to the right side with matching color.
DISCUSSION
The surface water affected more than the bottom by temperature concerning seasonal changes that affect lakes, reservoirs, and perhaps large ponds from my own view of this. There is definitely a lot that would go into the understanding of environmental effect from the affected around the watershed considered. The radical and consistent changes of temperature in the Colorado Springs area and Monument would definitely be somewhat different from that of Pueblo. There is a lot to know and understand in this arena alone, and the importance of accurate figures is undoubtedly of major importance. References
