38). Roosevelt is not scared to send any troops out to fight.
Kennedy wants to take things in peaceful ways and not at harm. Everyone should take care of things in a peaceful way instead of violence. “So let us begin anew-remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof.”(Kennedy 15). That we should just start a new beginning and not put anyone in harm. That they should not start anything unless there is proof that it is true. Kennedy is afraid of the destruction in the world that something really bad is ging the end it all. “...both rightly alarmed by the steady spread of the deadly atom, yet both racing to alter that uncertain balance of terror that stays the hand of mankind’s final war” (Kennedy 14). If we go with violence than there is going to be nothing left and we will all be died. Kennedy wants us to all come together as one and go against the enemies if we have no choices left. “Can we forge against these enemies a grand and global alliance, North and South, East and West, that can assure a more fruitful life for all mankinds?” (Kennedy 24). We should all stay together and be one.
The meaning of freedom in Roosevelt's speech is that we need more weapons.
Roosevelt wants the people to only work within their religion no other. If they were to help or work with others outside of their nation they would be shamed from their own group (44-46). They have the freedom to work with whoever in their own religion, so if they went to a different group they could possibly be telling them the plans and secrets that others are not to be told. There are four things of freedom that Roosevelt wants his people to follow by, to have the freedom of speech and expression on all different things. To believe and obey God all around. To understand there nation. To not go against other nations with fear
(59-62).
The meaning of freedom in Kennedy's speech. That when we all come together as one we can have more freedom when we stand against are enemies. That they will do anything to have their freedom as long as they possibly can. Fighting for there freedom is what Kennedy wants the people to do. To forget about the past and focus on a new beginning and what's lyes ahead of us. Nothing is a celebration of victory it’s the freedom (kennedy 2). Defending freedom is a dangerous thing t do for your nation. You can’t exchange anything with anyone anywhere.
Four freedom of speech and inaugural speech, both talk about freedom in there own way of freedom. Roosevelt thinks that the more weapons the better it is for everyone. Even though with having freedom of things you still have rules to obey. Kennedy is wanting everyone to come together as one to stand against the enemies. He doesn't want violence or harm to anyone, unless needed to. What do you think freedom is to you? Do you think it's right to always fight every time something wrong happens?
