Currently, I am taking Third Semester French and I love it. So far, the material is a mix of concepts from high school and cultural explanations of places I have visited in France. Despite all of this, I barely have any interest in pursuing the Fourth Semester level. Although I love all aspects of French culture and language, minoring in it seems to be a massive undertaking. Instead of basing my trip around my major, intersession and summer programs offer classes spanning numerous core requirements. Currently, I wish to complete a religion course in Florence, gain a Communication elective at the Sundance Film Festival, and summer in Paris while studying ethics. For my friends who attend other colleges, their majors dictate where they study abroad; the only program for my friend studying English is London, despite the fact she would love to study in Germany or France. I do not know how many semesters I can commit abroad, but I would love to utilize intersession and summer to spend time outside the
