Also, we should realize that in both Freak and “Let America Be America Again,” there are many points presented that portraits the American Dream being striven for. The key points from both the texts are that even through the hardships in this American life, through the unjust of society, and all the promises that turned out to be lies, we as Americans must carry on our good work not only for ourselves but for our families and for one another in times of crisis and keep our faith strongly with each other. Langston Hughes released his anger and frustration throughout the poem but also had high hopes of the everyday people to get back what they rightfully deserve.
