In chapter 15 of Freak The Mighty, the gifts that Freak and Max exchanged for each other were very meaningful. Max knew that Freak liked to invent things and was extremely smart so he got him a tool kit so he can continue doing what he does. Same with Freak, he got Max a dictionary full of words that were meaningful to Freak and Max. After everyone went to bed, I would've never expected Max’s dad to show up. It was very surprising to me and I got nervous for Max. In chapter 16, I figured out that Kenny Kane wanted to fix things with Max. I knew this because Kenny Kane said “Everything changes now”.
