Universal health will potentially lead to lack of staff, they will not be paid well, and that would lead to them quitting. The doctors would get paid from the money that the patients were required to pay. However, when the patients do not have to pay, it is difficult to find the money to pay the staff. According to The Association of American Medical Colleges, ¨predicts a shortfall of 63,000 doctors by 2015 due to the influx of new patients under Obamacare.¨ The number of doctors and nurses will drop down throughout the years if free health care is provided. If the correct health care is provided the shortage according to The Association of American Medical Colleges would be much worse. Many people might think that people are doctors because they enjoy helping others, and they care about that more than being paid a certain amount. However, without doctors being paid, they will slack off, and potentially quit because they need a well- paying job to support themselves and their family. If there is a large number of people attending hospitals to have treatment, there is going to be a lack of medicine. There could also be minimal utensils, such as the needles used to project the medicine into the body. In other words, politics, lifestyle of patients, and philosophical differences of those in power, could determine who gets what.¨The equipment and medicine is might be in the government's hands, meaning they get to decide who can get what faster. But eventually, since universal health care is providing citizens free health care, there will be a little amount of contents to provide the correct health care. It may be true that, free health care will save many lives. But on the other hand, the amount of people will cause a wait, and that wait could increase the risk of the people getting worse.
