This is an article with the opinions of various people about car crashes as her experience. According to Feiler, Bruce. "Teenage Drivers? Be Very Afraid.”, the author claims with the quotation and the data that he got. The author brings the quote and idea from Charlie Klauer, a research scientist at Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI). And then they need to pass the driving test to get a driving license. In the U.S of California has the California Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) which is the state agency that registers motor vehicles and driver’s licenses. It gives the requirements for teens drivers: “Driver education must compose of at least 30 hours or 2 ½ semester periods of professional classroom instruction and the driver training must compose of at least six hours of behind the wheel professional instruction”. The purpose of the DMV is reducing the possibility of the car accident. Here has the article explaining the benefit of a driver education program for teens. Parents play a big part in teens learning how to drive, parents can be a good role model to show a teen how to drive. In the article, “Distraction and Teen Crashes: Even Worse Than We Thought” produced by AAA discusses how much of a role distracted driving actually plays in teen crashes. For example it says, “AAA recommends that parents teach teens about the dangers of cell phone use and restrict passengers during the learning-to-drive process”(5). The author explains that parents need to play a definite role in teens learning to drive. By parents implementing the idea of not using cell phones while driving and not having people in the car, the teen is more likely to make a better decision when that situation happens. Another example would be, in the article, “Training --…

I have chose this topic due to the serous road accidents that been happening in Australia involving young teens .Teenagers own about 45% of Australia’s road accidents , death rates of young teenagers have increased this is because some teenagers are growing up way to quick why ? As a result of this teenagers have been receiving there licence way too early at the age of 16. Teenagers then start to “think” big of themselves once they get there red Ps suddenly they start speeding , drag racing , and this is where death rates and injuries start to increase because the lack of carelessness , immaturity thinking they have finally become ruthless…

Why is this a problem, especially for teen drivers?| I believe that all car crashes are horrible, dangerous for everyone involved, and most likely always preventable. There's a couple reasons why i think its such a problem, especially with teenage drivers because.... Crashes are the number one cause of deaths among teenagers. More teenagers die in traffic crashes, then homicide, suicide, drugs and alcohol combined. Although teenagers represent 7% of the licensed population, they are involved in almost 20% of all fatal motor vehicle crashes.I could go on and on with facts, but overall lack of driving experience, visual search habits, distractions, speed and space management, and a poor driving attitude is why car crashes are such a problem with teenage drivers. |…

When a teenager at the early age of 15-years-old eagerly wants to drive, they are more at risk of losing their lives than a 17-year-old. Adding alcohol to the mix and the numbers of deaths increases rapidly. More teenagers today are driving cars at this young age, without their parents having a clue what there are getting into; (Thesis) According to Quindlen’s article, “Driving to the Funeral” argues this vital point to its government; That car crashes are the “No. 1 cause of death among 15 to 20 year olds in the country.” Intensely agreeing with these vital points shared: raising the drinking age have saved thousands of lives, 17-year-old drives most likely have fewer accidents, and speeding-the-leading factor in teenage fatal crashes.…

"Teen drivers ages 15 to 20 are 1.6 times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash, compared to adult drivers between the ages of 35 and 40" ("Teen"). About a month ago there was a teen girl driving to school, the roads were bad and she should not have taken a back road. She ended up losing control of her vehicle, causing the vehicle to roll over. If she was not wearing her seatbelt the accident could have been fatal. She is very lucky that nothing more than a totaled vehicle came from the horrific incident. There are many reasons why students should not drive to school. It is dangerous, there is a trouble with parking, and students could have illegal things in their vehicles.…

A study done according to the New York Times shows that when people take their time learning and getting used to driving, they are less likely to get involved in a car accident. A poll was done to compare the difference between those who get their license at 16 and those who get their license later. Those who got their license at the age of 16 replied back saying they were involved in an accident before. Most people who got their license later on responded saying they had not been involved in accidents. Some may argue that training, not age, has the largest effect on the number of teen driving accidents; however, raising the driving age will give teens more time to prepare and more time develop before getting behind the wheel. Along with more time to prepare to drive, the number of fatal accidents will be…

In a recent study, about 50% of teens have admitted they have fallen asleep while driving. This leads people to believe teens are unsafe behind the wheel. Teens are only 8% of the driving population, but they account for 20% of accidents involving cars (Collins and Cortez). Also, parents who are concerned about their child’s safety will argue and say that 3,500 teens were killed in 2008 alone, and car crashes are the number cause of teen death (Painter). They will also argue that fewer and fewer 16-17 year olds are getting their licenses, so we should just push up the age, right…

There are many challenges that teens face. They face drugs and peer pressure, but the main cause of teen death in the United States is caused by reckless driving, drunk driving, and texting while driving. They sometimes make these poor choices because they don't know their certain limits. Often times, they make these decisions and it’s too late for them to see the consequences. Teens should be aware of the consequences of breaking these rules that could impact their life or someone else's. Making teens aware can make other people feel safe when they are on the road.…

The reason I say this is because teens text and drive and put themselves and other people in danger. Teens are increasing car wrecks. They are also increasing their injuries. Teens don't know much of the consequences that come with driving. They party and drink, and when they drive drunk, that's another wreck and death waiting to happen. A lot of teens just want a car to drive, they don't really drive the proper way .…

"Open the door!" spoke a bulky military gentleman with a gun in his hand. "What’s going on?" My mother asked with a voice of panic and confusion. “They are here for us.” My father informed us as he began to pack our suitcases. "Just gather your items and go! If you are not out of this apartment in 15 minutes, you and the masses living here will be shot dead!” complained the bulky man with a voice comparable to nails being dragged on a chalkboard. With the dismay of dying, following orders became the best thing to do. In less than 12 minutes of standing outside with our suitcases, the concern that was inside us advanced. To our bewilderment, the generality in the building was evacuated as well. However, within 4 minutes, the officers went back inside to investigate if other…
