In the article free writing by Peter elbows States the activity of free writing 3 times a week at least 10 to 15 minutes. The introduction mentions it's other terms like automatic writing and babbling for exercises. My grandma is a huge part in my life and I always take her opinion over nearly everyone’s. When my grandmother was younger, she became a nurse at the hospital and she traveled a lot since my grandpa was in the military. So she worked at a lot of different hospital’s as…
Fighting temptation describes a battle that is as much spiritual as it is emotional or physical. To be tempted is not a sin. Everyone is tempted and at different levels. Even Jesus was tempted! Temptation happens when the opportunity is presented to do what we know is wrong, whether against God, ourselves, or others. Being tempted is not wrong - it's the decision to do wrong and the corresponding action that follows.…
On August 28th of this year, my grandfather passed away. He was 94 years old and died peacefully in his sleep at his home in the Dominican Republic. Three weeks later, on September 16, his wife and partner for 60 years, my grandmother, passed under similar conditions. While I cannot say for certainty, I believe she died of heartbreak. She was never the same after losing her partner, her best friend and the love of her life. My family and I were informed via telephone the day after their passing because their rural community of San Cristobal is frequently without phone service. I remember both phone calls rather vividly, as my rather had placed both on speaker phone. I remember the heartbreak that I felt, the devastation, the loneliness, but I do not remember anyone asking what date and time either of them passed. Instead, we all cried together and embraced each other. Particularly in the loss of my grandmother, I realize how death can impact a person's soul. My…

Have you ever had someone to help guide you when you didn’t know what to do? For me, my grandmother, Sheila, is that person. Sheila is extremely beautiful, she’s heavyset and she has curly, black and grey hair. There hasn’t been one time when I was in need, and she wasn’t there for me. My grandmother have always lived pretty close to where I live. All my life, my grandmother has been the nicest person. Even though she was the nicest person she could also be the meanest at times. My grandmother would get mad when things didn’t go her way or when someone didn’t do something how she wanted. Even though she would have her attitudes she would never get mad at me. She always made me feel special, as if I were her favorite. My grandmother is my mentor in life and she is greatly appreciated.…
A trip to the ocean can be a relaxing escape from the everyday pressures of life. A sailboat glistening on the horizon provides a mental escape to faraway places. The rhythm of the ocean beating against the sand is sedating music to a troubled mind. A slow, gentle breeze can relax your tensions. You should always be careful to avoid overexposure to the sun at the beach.…
My grandma was a role model to me, she taught me “ to never grow up!” She never did grow to old age. Even when she was in the hospital on her deathbed. She always moved around with so much energy.…

My grandmother was a very hardworking woman. She valued education even though she never received an education during her childhood. It really touched me the way she would try to help me and give me advice. This made me work extremely hard in school.…
Early this year around February my aunt went into the hospital, and when she got there they ran a lot of test on her. The doctor had determined her heart was bad and she would need surgery. A week later she had her surgery and came out fine, everything was going to be okay, so we thought. Days went by and she was still in the hospital and she slipped into a coma. So many thoughts racing through my mind, is she going to make it, God please let her pull through, and I pray she is okay. The thought that was craved in my mind was that she was going to die reflecting from when I was young and I lost my other aunt to cancer after she slipped into a coma. I prayed that this was not the case. One night after bible study my mom and dad decided they wanted to go visit her, but I didn’t want to “I don’t want to see her like that” I said, still reflecting back to the memories from my past experience. They were still determined to go whether I wanted to or not. We arrived at UMC Hospital and 10p.m., as we walked our way to the elevator and proceeded to the third floor I begin to feel chills run through my body. As they went in my dad pointed and said “There is the waiting room you can sit…
My grandma was a brave women. she never said die.My favourite place to go is the mountains. I like it there because it’s so peaceful and quiet. I just go to get away from everyone and all my stress. Although this makes it a great place to go, my main reason for loving the mountains is because it’s where my Grandma’s house is. My Grandma is the greatest person I’ve ever known. She has had an amazing life and put up with so much, but all of it has helped her to grow up and become so strong and intelligent.. As soon as we got there my grandparents would be waiting on us and greet us like they haven’t seen us in years. My grandma would teach me how to cook and let me help her cook dinner every night we were there. After dinner, we would sit outside or in the TV room and she would tell me stories about her life. As I have stated, my grandma is the strongest person I know. Growing up, she had to put up with a drunken father. Her parents were very strict and she had a hard life. She always promised herself she would get out of that town and make something of herself, and one day, she did. My grandma saved every penny and left one day. She got a job as a lawyer’s assistant and then she met my grandfather. They have been together ever since then. Now that I am older, when I go to visit her I get to hear all the real stories about her life, some good and some not so good, and they have influenced me so much and made me who I am today. I’ve heard stories from her first love, who ended up being a bum, to stories about her always standing up for what she believes in. Today, my grandmother suffers from short term memory loss. Even though when I go to visit her I hear the same story every five minutes, it doesn’t bother me; because I know that because of her I am who I am today. I am a strong, independent young woman because my grandma taught me that simply through her stories. She is the greatest and most influential person I know. not by…

My grandma was a talented and well-educated lady. We’d often sit and gossip about stuff, and play cards with each other. I also enjoyed her company. She, till class VII, was my teacher as well. All I am today is because of her. Everybody asked me to take tuitions at home, but I refused every time because she was more of a friend to me, than a teacher.…
