French Diet Vs American Diet Essay
There are multiple differences between the French diet vs. American diet. Likewise, French people appear to eat all types of foods that are presumed to be bad for you, for example, a lot of wine and butter specifically. However, they don't appear to have the difficulty with their obesity like how the American society does. The American diet is very much unhealthy compared to the French paradox diet. In France, their society watch their food portions that result having a low obesity percentages, also they tend to do a lot of movement and eat a good amount of homemade rich foods.
America has one of the highest obesity rates than France due to their type of food in their own diets. In France, snacking is a very frequent thing to do. They eat a small breakfast and take time to eat their lunch.In addition, they like to take their time and enjoy a small portion of lunch typically just yogurt and fruit. Children are used to just having 3 meals a day and just one small afternoon snack. While America has adapted to a way of eating every 2 or 3 hours. Mostly, treated foods not only are high in fat, calories, sodium and saturated fat, they also contain a lot of supplements, savings and pigments. The French diet, yet, is focused primarily on unrefined foods that are mainly homemade.
