Friendship In Freak The Mighty
Weeeee! That’s what my friend and I were saying when we went to six Flags together. Friendship is important, so everyone should have a friend. When I read Freak The Mighty, I was so touched because they stuck together through the tough and the great times. Like when Tony D. wanted to fight Max and Freak, Max was the wheels and Freak was the steering wheel telling him where to go. They through a tough situation, because they were friends. Even today, people needs friends to encourage them to take the right path and not fall down the wrong one, true friends would not let their friends do awful junk like drugs, smoke, and a lot more. They would encourage them to go to church every sunday and wednesday,or help people and I could go on for hours.

In the book it states “ I just sort of reach down without think and pick up Freak and set him on my shoulders.” ( Philbrick 32 ). During this part of the book this part is included because it is a really important to the plot of the book. It is really important to the plot of the book because it is we're Freak the Mighty had started. It was the first time that Freak was riding on Max's shoulders. In the film this is also included because it is important to the plot of the book but also because this leads to an action based scene of the film were they are chased by Tony D. and his gang. The director kept this the same because without this part of the plot then the whole story would of changed. Freak would not be riding on his shoulders the whole book, they would of been caught by blade and his gang because Freak wouldn't of been able to see where all of them were coming from. Overall, although there are similarities and differences they are included for a reason. The major similarity is included because it is a very important part of the plot and a lot of the story would have been different if it were not…

Freak the Mighty and The Mighty were full of many similarities and differences to each other, with some more important than others. For instance, in both the book and the movie Max and Freak find and return Loretta Lee’s purse. This similarity is pretty significant, as without doing this, Max and Freak would have never met Loretta or Iggy. They would have then been harder to incorporate later in the story. However, there are some large differences.…

My opinion that this book was a little sad because Kevin (also known as Freak) had a disease that made him stop growing at three feet so he had to wear metal leg braces and crutches. Also in the beginning Max was a bully because in the beginning of the story Max was called Kicker because whoever touched him Max will hurt that person by punching and kicking him/her. The book also talks a lot about friendship and trust because when Freak and Max first saw each it was only for one afternoon and that afternoon they barely talked to each other but once years have passed, some how Freak moved next to Max’s emptied neighbors house (the only reason the house was empty because the old neighbor was still in jail) So after Freak got out…

The book Freak the Mighty was far better than the Movie. A big part of the book and movie was King Arthur and his knights. This is how they came into contact with Iggy and Loretta Lee.…

Having a good assortment of good friends is a vital part of a person’s life in general. Friends should be somebody that you can speak comfortably with, and trust with nearly anything that you tell them. True friends are hard to come by, some will call themselves your friends but when something huge comes about they may turn and run. In other situations, people just change and if you want to be yourself without changing and making…

In Freak the Mighty friendship is demonstrated many times. Between Freak and Max they show a lot of friendship as the story develops. For example, when Max helps Freak see the fireworks by putting him on his shoulder, that shows friendship. Also, when Freak helps save Max from his father, it shows friendship. These are examples of friendship because if they werent friends that wouldnt care for eachother and help eachother in these ways. This is important to the story because if they werent friends the story would not be as interesting. Some examples of this would be, Freak and Max would not go on quests if they werent friends which would make the book less interesting. Also, when Freak dies the reader may not feel as much emotion because it…

When friendships are dissolved, the consequences can be devastating. In Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics - VIII – IX he explains how humans learn from one another, and that humans are innately social animals (Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics - VIII – IX, 148-149). Friendships are required in life learn about values. Without friends, humans would not be able to learn such values from each other, nor will they be able to confide in each other. Having friends in life allow for the mutual growth of both parties. Rebecca Traister writes in her article “What Women Find in Friends That They May Not Get from Love” her experiences with her friend Sara. Traister says, “In each other, we found respite, recognition, a shared eagerness to relax, take stock and talk about it all.” (Sara Traister, “What Women Find in Friends That They May Not Get from Love, 1), going on to say this relationship was mutual where they benefited from each other’s company. As they both grew together over time, much like Aristotle suggests is the value of friendship. Humans life are not fulfilled unless friends are there to support each other. As Traister says, “For many women, friends are our primary partner through life” (Sara Traister, “What Women Find in Friends That They May Not Get from Love, 5). In Traister’s case, the friendship she shares with Sara is a friendship of virtue.…

In the preceding quote by C.S Lewis; Mr Lewis explains what friendship does for a person. To paraphrase it in an understandable way, he seems to have said; Friendship is not necessary to survive, it only enhances life and makes life more interesting. This is my personal viewpoint exactly! Throughout life many people like to have other people close by them, parents have children, couples are married, teenagers have friends…. A lot of life is spent with friends and this many cause people to think that without friends they become nothing.…

I think this because he accepted Freak for who he really is inside and outside, he persevered by learning how to read and not giving up with Freak’s guidance. He is cooperating because he works together with Freak and helps him with what he needs. If Freak were to have three LUCYS, in my opinion he would have solve problems, share, and strength. He would have solve problems because he can have a problem and solve it very quickly in his mind. For example, when Max was running with Freak on his shoulders, Freak was planning in his head where to go. He would have share because he shares his ideas and his talents with Max when he is helping him with reading. Finally Freak would have strength because when Max and Freak are together and there is a problem, Freak takes charge, knows exactly what to do, and is the verbal protector of Max when Max is being picked…
