It might seem strange that one of the most innovative and talented composers in the history of Western music, the man who single-handedly revolutionized the symphony, string quartet, and piano sonata in the early 19th century, should write only one opera. Music seemed to flow naturally from Beethoven. It’s true that, unlike Mozart, his music did not emerge with seemingly effortless facility; we know from his sketchbooks and letters something of the struggles he endured to compose. But it was almost always produced with supreme artistry and, yes, genius. Nobody questions Beethoven’s…

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the greatest music composers who ever lived. His name and the word 'genius ' are often bandied about together by music writers and critics and many would argue rightly so. Mozart had a fantastic ear for writing a catchy melody with perfect orchestral arrangement. His compositions have a rich and distinctive sound; it can be said that in his brief 35 years of life that he wrote a masterpiece in every genre of classical music without much apparent effort. Mozart had an innate comprehension of music that lead him to be one of the most revolutionary composers of all time. When composing and producing, I often put many hours and weeks of time and effort into just one song. One could say I am quite the perfectionist since I do everything possible to make my vision of a song complete. Once I reach that vision, I work even further to perfect the song because of how passionate I am about my music. After producing for a year or so, this work ethic started to influence other areas of my life, such as schoolwork.…

    Memorable Trip

As far as I can remember, I first visited Da Nang city - one of the most beautiful and dynamic cities in the central of Viet Nam - in Autumn, 2008 after passing the Entrance Examination to University. Da Nang city was quite peaceful in the early morning when I arrived. I and my cousin decided to rent a small hotel beside Han River. Now that we could spend only one day sightseeing, we decided to pay a visit to Ngu Hanh Son mountains, Cua Dai beach, Hoi An ancient town. To be specific, we started the trip to Ngu Hanh Son Mountains at 8 a.m. Along the streets out of the city, we all had a great time exploring the gorgeous sceneries. Han river came into our view as a tortuous snake. On the river, the industrial city life rose up strongly. It took us 15 minutes to arrive at Ngu Hanh Son Mountains. Frankly, it was the first time I had ever visited such a beautiful place. Then, Cua Dai beach was our next destination. Hardly can I forget the cool and windy afternoon when I together with my friends went for a stroll along the beach. Coastal life seemed simple, yet the fishermen we met on the beach that day appeared to be very friendly and helpful. They enthusiastically told us how the wind would change in a day, how the tidal waves would affect their life and how they had survived hundreds of thunderstorms. Our final destination was Hoi An ancient town, which is around 45 kilometers away from Da Nang city. I was very interested in the colorful traditional lanterns, which, I think, help to bring us back to the old days of Vietnamese villages. While sightseeing the town, we found that there were many foreign tourists in Hoi An. They were probably absorbed in the beauty of antiques. Particularly, the old town turned out to be more beautiful at night when everything was more sparkling in the candlelight.…
