My observation took place in New York City in a …show more content…
conference hall. There was more than 50 circular tables in a hall and each surrounded by 12 people with different artifacts materials
There was chairs, lecterns, tables and bowls for food and few blocks in middle of the hall.
• Phones, cameras, laptops, microphones, piano, guitar, pens, note books, glasses, bottles, traditional drums, Rwanda traditional attire and handicraft (basket, bracelet, placemats, jewelry, and fruit bowls).
The event was basically a fundraising of one orphan high school in Africa.
There was performance of different musician and different speeches about that school and then auction followed to raise money. In the audience there was conversation going on and on each table there was at least one students from that school explaining why they need money to keep it running and the impact the school has made to their life.
Phones and cameras were mostly used taking photos and recording videos whereas pens, note books and business card were used when exchanging contact information. Late on they used drums, microphones, piano guitars singing and dancing. At some point pens were used to record bidder numbers of different people donating money and Glasses, plates were used when having a drink and food respectively.
After the event, people went out with their material such as phones, cameras and handicraft material they bought. However, some material were put in trash such as napkin and waste food.
If all the materials were to be left in the same position for long time and the room temperature condition kept constant, artifacts and features can last longer because the hall was
closed.
