Israel and Palestine have been at war for over 50 years and it seems like there's going to be no end. We here in America think that Israel is the hero and that is the antagonist in the incident however it seems as if in these articles that Palestinians are the victims and the Israelis are those who are inflicting a lot of pain on very innocent people just have different beliefs and are a different people.
The first article says that the number of Palestinians were being killed by the Israeli government is rapidly increasing. According to Palestinian Interior Ministry Spokesman, Iyad Al Bizm, said that of the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip have suffered catastrophic injuries 192 are children and women, in addition to that 63 others have been bombed for no apparent reason. Residents of Gaza say that the all suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, they say that it comes with the territory that Israel attack so violently. It breaks my heart to see the reality in which these Palestinians live and I realize that they have been in the last few years; 1008 Israeli airstrikes have destroyed 138 Palestinian homes, killing 90 Palestinians and injuring 633. Hopefully our government will be able to open their eyes and see the truth about what is going on in the Gaza Strip. I know that the U.S. is a direct economic beneficiary of Israeli military, but doing the humanitarian thing and help the Palestinian people. I believe that doing this would actually benefit America because it would allow Middle Eastern countries to feel more warmly towards America and it could allow us to have more Middle Eastern allies that we currently do. Having more Middle Eastern allies would actually benefit us economically far more than Israel could because of the oil fields that are so abundant in the Middle East.
