It was an extremely shocking new, I was not expecting that at all. I used to think Rudy was probably a nice guy mostly after finding out that he was priest. That maybe he had just felt disappointed about the religion or something and therefore he would drink a lot.…

Until the end of the chapter, it became obvious that the child did not believe that Addie was dead and that he made incredible efforts to hold on to his beliefs: And tomorrow it will be cooked and et…

One could almost see Bowker’s stressed, confused, yet accepting face through the words in the letter. He’s pouring out his thoughts about life and his place in it, all along the way thinking about what he has said and what he’s going to say next as seen in the second part of the letter that Bowker shows: “God, this is starting to sound like some jerkoff vet crying in his beer. Sorry about that.” (150). It’s here that the roller coaster of emotion levels out a little bit and we can see direct evidence of Bowker start to use this letter as a platform for self-reflection. “Everyday I hunt, and I never grow bored now, for I have a quarry of which I can match my wits, (8).” Zaroff speaks his mind about how bored he is with hunting animals. Rainsford hunts animals because he loves the sport of hunting. “It’s the best sport in the world,” as Rainsford calls it. Considering what both men say, it shows they have different morals about hunting and life. Those two points of view about hunting go against each other as Zaroff challenges Rainsford to hunt. Rainsford believes the opposite of that, he says, “But they are men, (9).” in response to what Zaroff says.…
