George H. W Bush Achievements
George H.W. Bush amassed countless achievements during his life but he had Eight very important ones. His first accomplishment was serving in the military. He served during World War Two. He even received a Distinguished Flying Cross for his service. Soon after, He went to Yale for college. He graduated from there in 1948. Later, He ran for a seat on the house of representatives. In 1966, he won. His next major accomplishment was serving as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. He was appointed by President Richard M. Nixon. He was ambassador for two years. In 1980 he won the Vice Presidency with Reagan. Together won again and Bush served as vice president for Eight years. Bush then ran for president and won in 1988. He got fifty-three

    George W Bush had a very big political background, so it wasn’t surprising when he ran for presidency and won. He was born on July 6, 1946, making him a member of the “baby boom” generation, born after WWII. He was the first born of Barbara Pierce Bush and George Herbert Walker Bush. They nicknamed him ‘Georgie’. He had 5 siblings; Pauline Robinson Bush, John Ellis Bush, Neil Mallon Bush, Marvin Pierce Bush and Dorothy Walker Bush.     No other presidents accomplishments can compare to the fact he was the greatest founder of the United Sates. The most noteworthy accomplishment is that he was the Commander in Chief of the Continental Army. Though no major and glorious battles were won, knowing full well the colonies were at a disadvantage, he strategically waited out the war making it to cost effective for Britain to continue while also eventually gaining Frances aid. He was then unanimously voted the first president of the United States. He himself decided that the title would be called “Mr. President”. After his first term, he was elected again unanimisouly. This makes him the only President in history to be unanimously voted for two terms. During his first term, Washington joined the states together to create a federal government.
