In 1895, Parham started was eagerly seeking for the “restoration of New Testament Christianity led him into an independent ministry and departed from Methodist Doctrine. Parham began to show interest in the Holiness theology and faith healing; he and his wife found “the Bethel Healing Home in Topeka in 1898, to provide lodging and faith training for individuals seeking a divine cure.” Parham taught his students that God would restore xenolalic tongues in Act2; He prayed to receive this baptism of the Holy Spirit in January 1901.
