This is your opportunity to show your creativity and create a NeIII IIIwspaper that would come straight out of the Gilded Age. All projects should be TYPED AND PRINTED before class.
1. 2 Informational Articles (At least 4 paragraphs each) DUE 11/10-11/14
Honors: 3 Informational Articles
Choose two important events from the Gilded Age that may not have received the attention they deserved. Describe the events surrounding the event as well as the significance. Suggested topics: The Everglades. The Women’s Suffrage Movement, Relocation of Native Americans to Reservations, The Dawes Act, The Sherman Anti-Trust Act (+5 points of done well), The Civil Rights Amendments, Chinese Exclusion Act, The Pullman Strike of 1894, the Homestead Strike, The Invention of the Bessemer Process, Haymaker Riot, 2. 1 Biographical spotlights: Choose an important person from the Gilded age and explain who they are and how they affected the United States (2 Paragraphs) DUE 11/3-11/5
Honors: 2 Biographical spotlights
Suggested Topics: Henry Flagler (+5 points if done well), Chief Joseph, John D. Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Ulysses S. Grant. Boss Tweed, Jacob Riis, William Jennings Bryan, Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Dubois
