Girls in Seventh Grade “Girls, they wanna have fun!” Madonna did have a great clarification about girls in that song, but what is thought when someone thinks about girls? Make-up, dresses, and most definately shoes. However, for most men, the one word to describe them is complicated. They think girls always have those mood swings every now and then, or cannot decide on what to wear. One minute they are happy, but the next they are going to rip your throat out. Maybe girls are complicated in some ways, but what about school? School is that one word that most children dread, especially after the summer months that it follows. Some say that school is those “Seven Cruel Hours Of Our Lives.” However, a more confusing puzzle to the brain is when …show more content…
The story starts out as well with two friends, Victor and Michael, Victor being the main subject. Promising himself that he was going to make Teresa, a girl he had a crush on, his girl this year, was his main goal. Therefore he had decided to have French, for Teresa also had French, also hoping he had other classes with her as well. (Soto 1) Victor was stoked and excited for French class, but at the same time wanted to impress Teresa. After first period, Victor attempted to “accidentally” bump into Teresa by waiting until after she left the homeroom to leave at the same time. When Teresa and Victor had bumped into each other, he made a complete fool out of himself, for he had tried to say something clever, however, he acted foolishly and spoke the wrong things instead. Victor instantly regretted what he had said and wished for his whole life to be over and restart. (Soto 3) After lunch and a few class periods came French, where Victor had “impressed” Teresa with his French skills and speaking. Although he had made a huge fool of himself to the class, Teresa was actually intrigued with his language speaking skills and had asked to help her with her own French. Definitely not wanting to miss an opportunity with Teresa, Victor gladly accepted her request, and after school, ran straight to the library to rack up three French text books to study. (Soto

    After accidentally throwing a book at his teacher, he was told to leave the reservation so he wouldn’t lose hope. As a result of leaving, Junior lost his best friend, gained a new friend, had an identity problem and now he feels to blame for the deaths of his sister.
