GM FOODS
In today’s world many problems arise from population growth. One of those problems is genetically modified foods. The people who consume these inorganic foods don’t know what’s inside what they eat. As a result, these foods have side effects such as people having food allergies, risk of I infectious diseases, obesity, and much more.
People inject chemicals into foods to preserver them longer; that’s how we are able to eat off season foods. However, these chemicals are harmful to our bodies. Most genetically modified foods cause obesity. This is because the food is injected with hormones to cause it to grow and when we eat these foods they stay in our bodies. Although genetically modified foods have advantages in providing for the growing population, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. When people go to stores, they should buy fruits such as mangos and peaches, which are in season in summer, and avoid buying pomegranates, which are off season in summer. This will force the producers to not produce off season foods. Genetically modified food may be everywhere, but people are uninformed of what they consume. Its advantages may be helpful. It could help fight world hunger, but at the same time it is slowly killing us. People should try to stop the production of these foods and increase the production of organic foods. A solution to his is, when people pay tax, some of the tax money should also go towards proving organic foods for everyone. Taking care of what we consume is essential. By doing this, the side effects of genetically modified foods would disappear. Certain diseases caused by these foods are people having food allergies and obesity. Sometimes people may react to the modified food in different ways and possibly cause an allergic reaction. The growth hormones added into the food is another reason why many people in the world are obese. Today, genetically modified food is a problem from population growth that people need to bring an end to. There

Many opponents of genetically modified foods doubt the safety of those artificial foods. They are the products of people’s intelligence and creativeness, but compared to the eternal law of the nature, human knowledge is not always right. People make mistakes, and sometimes they do not notice about these mistakes until the problems arise. Though developers and manufacturers make sure that there are various advantages of consuming genetically modified foods, due to the potential genetic defects or problems in these foods, they may still damage humans' bodies and undermine the environment. Regarding their benefits such as variation of food choice and the decrease of the cost of food production, genetically modified foods do bring improvements to our…

The risks to our health and exposed for using genetically modified crops or plants have not been yet proven because we are too early in the game of this genetically modification and engineering process. Thinking that this is a small solution to our problem for hunger and feeding Americans, then maybe they are just creating more problems that may not have solutions for in the future. However, the US National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine, states otherwise. In a new report that details how genetically modified organisms are apparently safe for human consumption and surprisingly, also have significant benefits for human health and the environment(FDA.org). They base their findings on an intensive and detailed report with past studies about GMOs. The many interviews with scientists, researchers and field experts that have data stating that they are not bad for one’s health. This helps determine whether it is good or bad for the health when it comes to eating genetical modified foods. They even have a new study that suggests that when crops are being engineered to improve human health, by altered to produce more vitamins or nutrients. This might be one good side of it, but why should we playing with mother nature? This is a big gamble we are…

Throughout history, scientific research and the exploration of new technologies have always been areas of extreme controversy and heated debate. This can be primarily attributed to the fact that they touch upon and affect many aspects of people’s lives, not to mention their direct interference with political, social and religious matters. One of the latest and most ferociously debated technologies, that the scientific community has offered humanity, is the technology of Genetically Modified Organisms and in particular genetically modified foods. A Genetically Modified food is crop plant modified in a laboratory using molecular biology techniques with the goal of producing an organism with specific traits for various reasons. It is therefore only logical, given its nature that such a practice would both raise some serious ethical and moral questions as well as propose very viable solutions to chronic problems the world faces today.…

Genetically modified food contributes a major portion to the world’s food supply. Genetically modified food (GMF) is food that is produced from plants or animals that have had artificial changes to their genetic material. GMFs have been tested and experimented on since 1992 and sold commercially since 1994. The DNA of crops has been altered to make them grow faster as well as resist many different pesticides. This DNA alteration has been applied to animals as well to give them desirable breeding traits. Genetically modified foods have affected society and the environment in many different ways.…

The controversial issue of genetically modified foods, commonly known as GM’s, has only gained the attention of millions, since it became a prominent and highly debated global issue. Genetically modified foods are created when the genes of an organism are engineered and modified to create a new or enhanced version of that organism. The process of using different genes from different sources to genetically modify foods led to public outcry and sometimes, praise. People in support of genetically modified foods claims it will enhance the quality of the food, improve the food’s resistance to pests and other harmful elements, lower food costs, and also increase food security for the future. However, those opposed to genetically modified foods claim…

Genetically engineered crops are still a very unknown and even in some cases unheard of subject to people globally. This technology, even being such and unknown subject, has quickly and only gaining speed overruns our diets by stating with our most consumed food crops. Genetic material from one organism is inserted in the genetic code of another and by doing this biotechnologist have created vast amounts of different genetically engineered organisms. Organisms such as tomatoes with flounder genes, fish with growth genes, pigs with human growth genes, along with thousands of other plants, animals and insects.…

All over the world, there are a lot of people who do not know what the term genetically modified foods means. In fact, genetically modified food means crops that contain genetic material that has been changed artificially so as to produce the desired properties. In addition, a fierce debate has been prevailing over the benefits and dangers of genetically modified foods. A number of scientists think that genetically modified foods are safe, contain more nutritional value, and are cheaper to produce (Dreifu, 2008). However, opposing experts in the field of genetics differ with these lines of thoughts and argue that genetically modified foods are a danger to organisms in our ecosystem. For instance, they argue that continued production of genetically modified food might result in harmful effects on consumers and the natural environment. For this reason, I agree that genetically modified foods have negative effects on human beings and destroy the environment.…

In the intro it was said that genetically modified foods can help out with the world's growing population and it can also help replace all the dying crops in the world. People might ask how the world's population could reach such high numbers and the fact is that the “earth's carrying capacity is being reached and at a extremely fast pace too, it is estimated that there will be 9.7 billion people living on earth by 2050.”( )Genetically modified foods will play a part in this because farmers can't grow crops fast enough to support that many people, so the next best choice is genetically modified mainly because they are inexpensive, safe for eating as far as we know and easy to make. A Lot of people in the world are dying of malnutrition, but these genetically modified foods are helping most of those people. Another problem is that some crops die out too fast mainly because of bad weather conditions, genetically modified foods can be given some…
