Goal Project Reflection
Goal Project Reflection When I started this project, my goal was to lose weight. Specifically, I set a goal of 15 pounds from around 165 to 150. I’ve never really ate “right,” and I’ve always been a bit chubby, and I decided this was a perfect opportunity to do this. To do this I decided to use an app called MyFitnessPal, with my input it tracks my daily intake of calories and amount of macro-nutrients like sugar and carbs. So my plan was to eat in a 500 calorie deficit each day, at 1500 calories. At this rate I should lose around 1.5 lbs/week. In hindsight, I only had 6 weeks to accomplish my goal, and 1.5lbs/week was not enough to lose 15 pounds. But going any higher could potentially be unsafe and overall I am happy with my results even though I did not accomplish my goal. I weighed myself weekly and saw my weight steadily decreasing. Some of the main ways I accomplished this goal was to cut back on chips and soda. Everyday I ate 3 meals at around 350 calories each, and that left me at 450 calories for snacks. And soda being at 200 calories, and chips being at 150 calories, it was pretty easy to choose to eat less or something else like granola or fruits. …show more content…
This new fatigue messed with me mentally. At some points it would be hard to cope with it, and I would either break the limit of calories, or get worked up not doing that. If I were to do something like this again I would increase my daily allowance, and the time frame. Socially though, this was overall a good thing. To keep myself busy from not eating I would get on my friends teamspeak and play games with them to try to forget about it, and most of the time this worked beautifully, and when it didn’t I could find plenty of randoms on games to play

Last year I was prit near 375 lbs and I knew something had to give. I have tried, low fat, low cal, counting macros and everything. I always still would gain! I would eat veggies and lean meat keeping under 1200 calories sometimes 800 when frustrated, I'd still wake up weighing more. Well to be honest, I believe the food pyramid is very, very inaccurate. I sometimes watch shows like my 600 lb life, for motivation for myself, because I need it still! I was to a point in my life I couldn't walk or stand more than 5 minutes! I'd have to sit on a chair to do dishes, I felt useless anymore honestly. One day something clicked and I seen a friend who posted about her 210 lb weight loss and started to read. I was blown away! I started it and I won't lie, I went out with a bang! Made a huge chocolate cake 13x9 and we ate half of it. I canned the rest. Within the first 3 days I was 5 lbs down! I couldn't believe it, without any exercise! People say oh you can't do that, but you can! You simply have to eat the RIGHT foods! 60% carbs isn't for us! That's what was set up by a group of people who think they know everything! They don't! But anyways if you want to learn how to eat the correct macros and learn to lose weight without worry, then this is for you! Ooh you have to give up some things! But tell yourself YOU'RE WORTH IT! I know what it feels like to hurt everyday and not be able to function and go out to the store cause you just cannot walk.…
