Goal Setting Exercise
Whether you set goals using a formal process or you use a wish list for what you want to accomplish, goal setting is an important component of personal growth and development.
This article is set out to show how to succeed at accomplishing potential goals & achieve them. This will also show that if you’ve been struggling to achieve goals you’ve set I’ve tried to give a few solutions that might be great to use when you find yourself struggling to complete these goals.
Goal Setting Exercise
From the time that we are born we have already started to set goals for ourselves, from potty training to walking, reading and writing, starting pre-school, etc. These are just a few items that show goals are and we always are a part of our lives. It is important to show how we go about implementing and achieving our goals. We all have goals that we would like to achieve throughout our life, for instance it may be to complete your education, become more active in your church or community, lose weight eat more healthy, these too are examples of goals we set that at times we start but more than often don’t complete for a number of reasons. We will look at certain steps on how to figure out why: 1. We set goals and never complete them. 2. Are we setting goals that are just not attainable (realistic). 3. How can goals help me when I am in a group or team setting? 4. When I do achieve my goal how to stay focus on the task ahead and set other goals and also complete them.
What is the definition of a goal?
. The word GOAL is defined as a plan for the future, a plan that can allow you to be more focused on a certain purpose, it can also be something that can give you direction to what you would like to accomplish (Merriam-Webster.com, 2011). Goals should be looked upon as future achievements that you have planned for your life. One of the reasons I feel most goals are not completed is
