Going Back To School To Improve My Education

To begin with, I went back to school to help improve my education. The current level of education I hold is my completion of high school. Education is very important as it’s improves perspective and the ways we currently see life with a better education I will also be able to help my son do his homework. He is currently in the 8th grade and the work they give is somewhat difficult to follow. By attending Strayer I know that my education will improve.

Another reason for attending Strayer, is due to the fact that I want to have a better job to support my family. Working as a bus driver for 22 years, I feel as though it is time for a change. Working as a bus driver, the money I made was sometimes not enough for the essentials my family need, which is why I need a new job/career. For jobs today, the more education you have, the better it is for you to get the job. When I was growing up, a high school education would suffice, however due to variety of skill set require to do a job, more education is preferable. By going to school to get a degree, I know I will find a better job that will help me support my family
When I was in high school, I didn’t like school at all. I felt as though it was a waste of time. I now see how important a high school education is as well as high education. Actively working as well as experiencing different topics throughout the courses I am currently taking here has exposed me to various subjects, ways of thinking and doing. This has in return boosted my confidence. Whenever I have a conversation with people I want to add to the intellectual conversation I am having.
