Loyalty is faithfulness and devotion to a person. If a person is loyal to you it means the trust you. Not only close friends and family expect you to be loyal to them buy also companies, such as phone companies; they provided you with the network and bundles, so they expect you to be loyal to them and pay what you’re charged and vice-versa.…
In order to gain loyalty from others, you have to be trust worthy. In Romeo and Juliet, there is a line that says “You’re in love? Out. Out of love?”. (Shakespeare21) Romeo never said why he was so depressed until he talked to his cousin. His cousin gained Romeos’ trust and now they are loyal to each other. Another example is, “Trust affects a leader’s impact…”. (Horsager1) this shows how gaining trust allows you to do more with others because then they find you loyal. On the counter example, some people might say that respect gains loyalty because you need to respect each other. But if you’re not trust worthy then people will not be loyal to…
Loyalty is important quality to me and to my friends. I play for the Clearfield High baseball team I play with these guys and am with them most of the time. Getting to know them and what they are like as a person outside baseball, but at the same time I am the hardest on them than anyone of my other friends. I see the potential in them when they themselves lose sight of it. As much as I love winning, I care more about our team and how they play and it is important to know the guy to my left and the guy to my right will put in as much effort as I will to become better as a team and not as an individual. When my teammates have success I want rejoice with them. As being loyal to my baseball friends…
In the story the author uses many situations and circumstances to demonstrate loyalty. Loyalty is the state or quality of being loyal, faithfulness to commitments or obligations. Don Quixote is a man that believes in being loyal, and he expects the people that he encounters to be the same way.…
What is loyalty? Never cheating in a relationship? Your dog never running away? Or is it always being a good friend? Maybe loyalty isn’t an action at all. Many people try to decipher the real meaning of loyalty, but it has a unique meaning to each person. There are three different examples of how loyalty is viewed differently; in the story Beowulf, through a teenager’s life, and in the movie The Lion King. Each will display different views of loyalty and point out many similarities as well.…
At a young age, I was attracted to my neighborhood church. I remember waking up to dress and walk myself there, to be around others in the community coming together for united purposes. After reading this specific lens focuses its ideals as said ‘through Nature or given by God’ as the way for man kind to strive to abide. A secondary value of this lens is loyalty. Nowadays, I find myself having to think about how far one should take loyalty. I have been in many debates on fairness to others. Defending friendships or family to the point where I’ve lost a few friendships from debating what I thought was right in a situation and came off too strong.…
When I see the word loyalty I think of friendship, sticking by someone’s side through good times and bad times. And in the movie The First Knight, Sir Lancelot shows loyalty…
What is loyalty and do employees have a loyal obligation to the company? Loyalty at the base is a strong feeling of support or allegiance. Ronald Duska in his argument for whistleblowers on the basis that one does not have loyalty to a company. The central concept of the film Narnia is all about sacrifice and the beliefs that Jesus bestowed upon many during his lifetime. The act of sacrifice is a gift to God to ask him to forgive sins; or to thank him for something. Jesus gave himself to die as a sacrifice for our sins. In the film Aslan (portrayal of Jesus) sacrifice’s his life to the white witch to relieve Edmund (son of Adam) of his sins.…
Loyalty by definition is the state or quality of being faithful to commitments. The Army has not changed this definition. As a soldier you are expected to show loyalty to the constitution, the Army, your unit and other soldier. This is very similar to a civilian being loyal to their work. A comparison is being loyal to your company,…
A fundamental aspect of intricate kinship, loyalty within a friendship is a driving force and foundation on which a relationship is constructed, developed, and corrupted. Compelling closeness and loyalty provide the soul with an unmatched unity and comfort in life, and serve as an integral component of one’s intensely intrinsic commitment to another. The deep attachment and relentless devotion associated with such an awareness of fealty can lead to both regrettable and rewarding circumstances.…
I define loyalty as the willingness of a person to sacrifice at their own personal expense in order to protect, uphold, defend and edify those persons, ideals and/or things which they cherish most. The amount of loyalty a person feels towards someone or something determines how much they are willing to sacrifice for them. As a soldier, we are called upon to sacrifice every aspect of our lives - the physical, the mental, the emotional and the spiritual - in order to protect, uphold, defend and edify the U.S. constitution, the Army, our fellow soldiers and the nation and heritage (all those things about America that we have fought and died to achieve as a country; our structure of government, our laws and our freedoms, our prosperity) of our homeland. Our sacrifices demonstrate our loyalty and it is our loyalty that allows the America we know today to continue to grow and prosper as our ancestors hoped. It is worth noting that loyalty, as a rule, does not take into consideration the small, every-day irritants and disagreements that we encounter with the persons and things to which we are loyal; if it did, it would no longer require self-sacrifice but would instead be a matter of business exchange, or more appropriately, mercenary enterprise. This is why the Army definition of loyalty uses the phrase, "true faith"; to have faith means to believe even when the evidence and facts are in disagreement with the desired outcome of one's hopes and action(s). Loyalty means to believe that our personal sacrifices will be worthwhile in the end no matter how bleak the outcome may look in the present.…
"Antinoos, it is impossible for me to turn out of doors the mother who bore me and brought me up." (p.25, Homer, The Odyssey) This quote is a direct example of love and loyalty between a mother and son. Telemachos loves his mother and will stand by her decision, he says he won’t force her to marry; he is loyal to her, which represents the idea of loyalty between family. Love and loyalty are major themes of The Odyssey that are constantly surfacing throughout the book. Love and loyalty are shown in many different aspects: through husband and wife, father and son, mother and son, boy and nurse and others.…
First, the definition of loyalty means to be faithful to one’s oath, commitments, or obligations. The word loyal originated from the Latin word Lagalis, meaning legal in Latin. The reason I say that being loyal can hurt you is because you don’t really know who will backstab you…
