Chapters four through six of Good is Not Enough by Keith r. Wyche further display ways to enhance the professional expierence of a minority individual. In these three chapters Wyche describes how to make the decision between accepting a lateral job or leaving the company as a whole. Chapters five and ix focus primarily on the skill set an individual should carry if they wish to remain or be promoted within a company. Titled “Know When to Move Over and When to Get Out”, Chapter four of the novel explains the difficulty many minorities face when deciding between accepting a seemingly similar job or seeking promotion in a bigger company. Wyche advise readers to analyze how promotions and transitions will affect their personal and professional lives. In the text, Wyche says “the best way to make decisions about your career is to create a blueprint that will guide you to your ultimate destination” (Wyche 64). Having a blueprint is not only essential as a business professional, but as a student as well. A blueprint is a way to map your progress toward your ultimate goal. As a frehman in college, it can sometimes feel as if out goals are out of reach. However, with a blueprint that includes essestinal skills needed to accomplish these goals, your ultimate goals becomes increasingly attainable.
