Gordon Ramsay Research Paper
Gordon Ramsay is a popular chef and entrepreneur in the world of culinary arts. He owns a number of successful restaurants. He created and stars in best known television show Hell’s Kitchen. When Ramsay started his career in 1993, he was first a head chef at a newly opened Aubergine Restaurant in London. While working at this restaurant over three years he earned the restaurant a two-star rating. In 1995, Ramsay was awarded the Newcomer of the Year Award at the prestigious Catey Awards. This event is similar to the Oscars, however it is for the restaurant and hotel business. Ramsay opened his own establishment in 1998 called Ramsay's. This is when he became a true celebrity chef.(Biography.com Editors)

Apprenticeship programs are also available. All chefs need a high degree of training and professional experience before they are able to manage and maintain their own kitchen operation. Although many chefs have completed four-year university degrees, training can be completed at technical schools, culinary arts schools or community colleges. While in school, prospective chefs take courses in nutrition, food storage, portion control, inventory and purchasing.They also learn how to handle and maintain kitchen equipment, proper knife technique and banquet service. Although formal programs are a great source of training, much of a chef's education comes from on-the-job training and apprenticeships.     Gordon Ramsay, famous UK celebrity chef, born on November 8th, 1966 in Scotland and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. Ramsay had played soccer all through his early life in high school. He endured many occupational injuries during his football career which led to knee injury.
