Answer: A. Decentralization brought up a lot issues because as we all know that a house divided by it self cannot stand. And so if the states kept on doing everything separately and for their own interest instead of the interest of the country as a whole, the nation would just end up falling. The first problem that occurred under decentralization would be that the central government had no power to tax, which left them pleading with the states to provide money for war and to carry on the affairs of the nation. If there are no taxes how will the government function? It’s absolutely impossible to run a nation if no one is paying for the military and other needs of the government. The constitution solved this problem because it gave congress the right to tax people in return for protection of their rights and their property. The second problem that came up under decentralization was that there was no provision for an independent leadership position, which was a deliberate omission because the colonists feared another monarchy - but still left the nation without a leader. The constitution solved this problem as well because it mentioned that the nation is to have a president which will be elected based on the votes of the people, and there will be elections
