Education has always occupied a prominent position in the priorities of a society because of its key role in making its members moral, civilized, creative and productive beings. Decisions on the chosen inputs in the educational area, especially during college, have a multiplier-effect, and they tend to influence a person’s life to a large extent. One’s college education is generally assessed by the grades he gets, the courses he takes, the job he gets etc.
In our report, we have tried to throw some light on the examination and grading system in BITS. The CGPA is a much criticized parameter within the campus, and keeps earning bricks and bouquets for itself. We have made an effort to give an overview of the various grading systems around the world in the process of seeking improvement in our existing system. It is in a continuous process of evolvement, and we are confident that our efforts will be able to contribute a constructive mite to the process.
