Past and Future Debate Today we are wondering how it would be to debate with the great Socrates and see how it would turn out.
Socrates- Felicia what is the definition determinism mean to you?
Felicia – Determinism is of different occurrence of nature which take place of any accordance within the natural laws of the world. I believe that determinism helps keep the world in balance throughout the world. (Kant states that every human begin has a choice and that everything in the universe is governed by causal laws.
Socrates- Felicia what is the definition of free will mean to you?
Felicia- Free will means humanity and the ability to be able to choose your own situations and actions or desire and fulfilling accordance. (Hume) defines liberty as a power of acting or not of acting according to the determination of will. Free will give us the ability to be able to choose one way from right and wrong. Free will means that is up to me to choose the job that I want or the house that I want to live in and be able to walk down the street holding hands with the one that I love without a problem.
Socrates- Felicia do you agree that every event has an explanatory cause? Felicia- I truly believe that every event has an explanatory cause. Because I have to explain where the event of the party will take place. I have to let everyone know that there is going to be a party or a change of venue. (Hume) states that explanatory cause is a natural habit or a custom that is something that we could not give up. Yes there is an explanatory cause to everything that we do and the choice that we make like what has happened and the past and the changes that we make in the future.
Socrates- Felicia how will you explain event to me?
Felicia- Socrates event to mean when something takes place in your life. Like when my son
