Growing up I was a very athletic child. I played basketball in school, and eventually became a cheerleader in seventh grade. Around the age of thirteen I noticed my right hip became very painful, and difficult for me to walk. The pain caused me to miss cheerleading practice, which I then informed my mother. My mother took me to the emergency room that same evening. I was given x-rays and then the doctor diagnosed me with a broken femur head in my hip. The right hip femur head had broken during cheerleading practice. In addition to, learning about my right hip, my doctor informed my mother that the left femur head was fractured. I felt devastated because I had to quit sports immediately. That same day the doctor ordered my mother
